FAQ
Q. What kinds of pieces do you offer?
A. Wooden items such as buffets/consoles, dressers, headboards, accent/coffee tables, desks and occasionally even a dining set.
Q. Are the pieces "like new"? Are they perfect?
A. No, because the pieces are vintage they have already seen a lot of what life has to offer. We only start with pieces that are structurally sound and make any needed minor repairs. we sand, fill holes, ect but SOME CHARACTER MARKS will remain. we work with the piece when deciding how much and what kind of distressing to do so it all blends and looks natural. All pieces are sold AS IS and it is up to you to inspect the piece and decide if these imperfections are acceptable to you.
Q. Do you have a store or items in stock?
A. No, we work from our home and each piece is hand finished. It is a timely process so while we may occasionally get caught up and have a piece or two on hand, it's not the norm.
Q. How much do your pieces cost?
A. The price varies depending on several factors - mostly how much time and materials we have to invest to rehab the piece. Some need very minor work while others require a great deal or are hard to find and therefore more expensive.
Q. How does it work?
A. Email us to let me know you're interested. We'll send you a simple form to fill out giving me the info we need to understand your wishes (including general style, , time and budget requirements). If we find a piece that we believe fits your needs, we'll contact you to see if you're interested. If it's a piece we feel is otherwise adoptable (meaning if you don't want it, someone else will), we'll go forth and contact you when it's done. You'll get first right of refusal before it's offered up as a general sale. You are NOT obligated in any way.
If it's a piece that we feel is very specific to your personal taste and we likely would not be able to find it another home, we will ask you if you would like to proceed as a committed purchase. You would be asked to pay a percentage down and the balance upon completion.
Q. What if I have my own pieces; will you rehab or refinish those?
A. No. We consider vintage pieces irreplaceable and it's not always possible to predict the outcome of the refinish. By using pieces we purchase ourselves, we are not liable to anyone if they do not work out (it's rare, but occasionally a piece just doesn't come out well no matter what we do).
Q. I see lots of black things listed, once in awhile some white. Do you do any other styles or colors?
A. Yes, by request we do just about any style or color. See our article on Colors.
